Piece Explanation

This was one of the pieces that started my investigation. Initially I wanted to incorporate art from my card business. My focus was how angels help me cope. I changed my investigation after a recent surgery, to reflect symbols in my life especially found in nature.

Art Style

In this piece, I focused on the angel's posing to make her look as if she was soaring upwards. I introduced a variety of texture, lines in the hair, clothes, and wings. I digitally colored the line-art and then added the base colors and shading to reflect a hand-painted look.
