Piece Explanation

This piece represents how I'm ending my school year learning from home. Even though I'm Isolated from my peers because of Covid 19, I no longer feel trapped at home due to my surgery. I am able to go outside and walk and run. I no longer am stuck at home watching others live their lives like last October. I am now physically free to live my own life.

Art Style

The first house drawing was in a silhouette style, but I chose to colorize this Tudor architectural-style house. The color represents active living and positive energy. I added minimal shading to achieve the clean look of architectural plans. The colors and style of the piece resemble my actual Tudor home. I added my self portrait outdoors to show that I am no longer house bound and free to be myself.
