Hello! I am Mrs. Scholz
This is my nineth year teaching. I have taught at Centerville Abington Elementary for four years. I am a Centerville graduate and I am very happy to be a bulldog once again! I graduated from IU East with a Bachelors Degree.

About My Classroom
I am very excited to be your teacher this year! It has always been a passion of mine to be a teacher. I enjoy my time spent in the classroom with my students. Of course academics is a big focus in a classroom, but my classroom is a little different than most.
We spend time learning about self-care. We learn about how to show appreciation for ourselves and others. Along with learning about it, we demonstrate it.
I teach students simple ways to meditate to calm down their bodies and we learn about different breathing techniques when we are stressed or feeling emotions we do not like, such as anxiety, anger and frustration.
All students have access to my calm corner in all parts of the day. My calm corner in my classroom is for students to go when they feel overwhelmed or just need a quick break.
I look forward to seeing what amazing things we do this year!

I love spending time with my family!
My husband and I have three kids together. We have Callie (6 years old), Tristen (10 years old), and Zaiden (12 years old). Our dogs are a huge part of our family as well! We have two dogs and one that has passed away. We currently have our German Shepherd, Gypsy, and our Golden Retriever, Giovanni.
My kids are involved in sports, so I spend a lot of time at sporting events. They play football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and gymnastics. We enjoy spending a lot of time together as a family. We love to go on outings to do new and fun things together. We take walks and ride bikes when it is warm. You will rarely see us not outside playing!
