Mr. Badweeti Kasinayana, PhD scholar working under the supervision of Dr.Digvijay S Pawar, Department of Civil Engineering, has secured First Prize in the Student Poster Presentation in the Smart Mobility Category under the team name “Bharat ADAS Vision” at the 19th edition of the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT 2026). The symposium was organized by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), in association with SAE International (USA) and SAE India, and was held from 28th to 30th January 2026 in Pune. SIAT 2026 was centered on the theme “Innovative Pathways for Safe and Sustainable Mobility.” The poster was titled “ADAS in the Indian Context: Evaluating Trust and Effectiveness of the Forward Collision Warning System under Real-World Traffic Conditions.”
This achievement accompanied with a reward of ₹20,000.
IIT Hyderabad congratulates Ms. Bhuvana Priya, PhD Scholar, Department of Civil Engineering, for receiving The Best Poster Award at the Conference of Transportation Research Group of India (CTRG 2025), held at IIT Guwahati from December 17th to 21st, 2025, for the paper titled, "From Reuse to Resilience: Engineering Evaluation of Cement Grouted Bituminous Mixes Containing Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Material
Team Drive Sense AI from IIT Hyderabad has secured the position of First Runner-Up at the Safe Roads, Safe Lives India Ideathon 2024, held during the Safe Roads India Summit 2024 organized by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) on December 10th and 11th in Bengaluru. The event featured participation from prominent institutions, including IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT Hyderabad. The team’s project, titled “Dynamic Driver Feedback System with the Help of Artificial Intelligence under Real-World Conditions”, was recognized for its innovation and potential to make a significant impact on road safety. The achievement includes a reward of ₹1 lakh.Team Members are Badweeti Kasi Nayana, Research Scholar in Transportation Engineering, Rathwa Yuvrajsinh Jayantibhai M.Tech student in Smart Mobility,Jethva Akash Bhavesh, M.Tech student in Smart Mobility Department of Civil Engineering, under the guidance of Dr. Digvijay S. Pawar, Associate Professor. The recognition underscores the team’s efforts to harness artificial intelligence for improving driver feedback systems in real-world scenarios.

Pawar secured First Prize in the Student Poster Presentation in the Intelligent Mobility Category at the 18th edition of the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT 2024). The symposium was organized by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and was held from 23rd to 25th January 2024 in Pune. SIAT 2024 was centered on the theme "Transformation Towards Progressive Mobility." The poster was titled “Evaluating Effectiveness of an Advanced Driver Assistance System on Safe Headway Using a Field Operational Test." This achievement also comes with a reward of ₹25,000.
