Jameson Gregoire "Red J. Bird"
3 x 3, Colored Pencil on Paper, 2025
When I was a kid, Angry Birds was by far my favorite game to play. I would play it on my Xbox 360 and the version on my phone. I was just looking for something that would be easy to draw, and for some reason, that is what came to my mind. So first, I found an inspiration photo to try to model, then I used a pencil to do the outline and make sure everything looked good. Then I used a Sharpie and traced my outline, and lastly I used colored pencils to color everything in. For the audience, this drawing may not mean much if anything, but for me, this drawing brings back childhood memories. Back when I could just sit inside and play Angry Birds. Well, this was my first drawing, so I wasn't really expecting much. I struggled with the smaller details, such as the eyes and the little reflection on top of the feathers. If I were to start over, I would definitely take more time on the smaller details rather than rushing through them. This drawing is Realistic. I think this drawing is unique compared to my other drawings because most of my other drawings are of me playing football. So the Angry Birds drawing just pops out compared to the other drawings I've done. The thing that I love about this drawing is that is takes me back in time and makes me think about a lot of good memories.

8x12, Colored Pencil on Paper, 2025
Well, I was in football season when I was thinking of an idea to do. I thought a football drawing would be really cool to do. So I found a football picture I wanted to do and did it. So first, I had Mrs. Garrity help me get my grid drawn and cut out the paper I used. Second, I got my outline drawn and made sure that it was perfect. After I got my outline perfect, I started coloring in my body. Lastly, I erased my outline and finished the background. I used a lot of shading in this drawing. This artwork means a lot to me because I have been playing football for nearly my whole life and have created a lot of good memories doing so. Football has also helped me through a lot of difficult times. I just want my audience to think of something, whether it's an object, a sport, or a person that has helped them through a difficult time in their life. The most difficult part of this drawing for me was definitely the smaller details, such as the wrinkles in my shirt, the reflection of the light on my jersey, and making my legs look good. In order to overcome these difficulties, I asked Mrs. Garrity for help on some of the stuff I didn't know how to do. If I were to start over, I would definitely take more time on my outline rather than just rushing through it. This style of art is realistic. This drawing isn't unique from my others because I usually do something sports-related for my drawings. I love how good my drawing turned out I think it looks really good.

6x9, Collage, 2026
I was just looking for a cool landscape idea to do, and this was the best-looking one. I really like going on vacation and going to the beach, so that's where the idea came from. So first I went on Google and found a copyright-free photo that I liked. Then, second, I got my piece of drawing paper ready. After that, I started making the actual collage. I used different magazines and old books to find the colors I needed. Lastly, I used glue to glue all of the different pieces together. I used mixed media in this piece of art. My intentions with this were to make it look as good as the original while being made out of different shades of colors. Though this artwork doesn't mean a whole lot to me, I could definitely see how it could to someone else. Maybe if someone has family from a more tropical area with beaches. I just want my audience to think of somewhere, wether its the beach or not, that makes them happy and brings them peace. The most difficult part for me was definitely the amount of time that this took. It took a lot longer than I would have expected. If I were able to go back and restart, I would have started earlier so I could start earlier and be able to finish the sky in the background. The style of art I used is realism. This drawing is unique to my personal style because you can't just tell what it is right away by looking at it; it kind of takes a second to figure it out. Personally, I love how it turned out, and there's not a lot I don't like about it.
