I got the idea because my favorite sport is baseball and the season is about to start. I started by balling up my clay then smashing it flat. Then I took the needle tool and cut out the home plate. Then I took the rest of the clay and rolled it up in a coil and when I was done I glazed it and it went in the kiln. This symbolizes the sport I love and what Ive spent a lot of time doing. I learned how to cut out shapes and mold two pieces together. This is a realistic piece because is shows a real life thing that has to do with me

Idea: The idea behind it is for my mom to put small decoritive flowers in it for inside the house
process: I started by slabbing out the clay then Cutting it to the shape it needed to be in to form the shape. Then I folded the two sides together and attatched them. Then when it was solid I glazed it inside and out.
symbolism: It symbolizes how my mom liks flowers and decorations
Growth: I learned how to attach big pieces of clay and glaze the inside of something.
Visual voice: Its realistic because it a real item that will be used. I like it because its dark but has some color in it which my mom likes.

idea: The idea behind it was to give it to my sister for her desk
process: I started with a ball of clay then pressed it down to a slab. Then I put it on top of a circle cut out and slammed it down until it slummped into it and made a bowl shape.
Symbolism: It symbolizes my sisters collection of things she has to put in there and to make her setup nicer.
growth: I learned how to make a slump drape bowl and press in a design.
Visual voice: Its realistic because its something that resembles a real life item used everyday and will be getting used everyday.

Idea: The idea was to just use this bowl to learn the wheel and see if I could make something that looks decent
process: First I started out by throwing down a ball of clay to stick it down. Then I got it wet and started to center it. Then I smoothed out the outside and started to press in to make the inside like a bowl. Then when the shape was done I cut off the extra and cut it off the wheel.
Symbolism: This symbolizes my first time trying the wheel.
growth: I learned a different way to creat a clay piece.
visual voice: This is realistic because it is a cup or bowl which are real items that get used everyday.
