Country music

To start this pot I was originally going to make this a square vessel with a flower on each side. As I started on this process each flower was getting heavier and heavier so when we went to assemble the whole deal it was too heavy and dry to stay up by its self so we had to scrap some of the panels the flowers were using. We then came up with this design using some of the salvageable panels to make the cylinder for the flowers to stick to. I then wanted to glaze it as a true sunflower so i used yellow for the petals and a pretty purple blue color for the inside.

I labeled this as country music because if you've ever watched an early 2000s country music video you'll see that almost every girl that plays country music is wading through a sunflower field singing. So when making this I chose a purple blue for the inside to represent the sky as well.

If I could start over I would probably choose a different yellow because it seems very flat and if i had added some shading i thing it would have looked better.

I really love the shape to this because when it was in its square form it didn't look as clean as it looks now since we changed the shape to hold the weight.
