WHAT TO EXPECT

On Friday, July 11, 2025, kids entering Kinder through 5th grade in the 2025–2026 school year are invited on a one-day space adventure through God’s Universe at Calvary Chapel South Los Angeles (CCSOLA) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

They’ll enjoy a full day of games, snacks, music, skits, and Bible lessons - all centered on God’s greatest command: to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves.

Don’t miss this one-day mission where kids will discover how God’s love fuels the universe - and how it can shine through them!

Bible Theme

This year’s VBS, God’s Universe, is a one-day cosmic adventure that takes kids on a journey through the vastness of space - from stars and galaxies to all life on Earth. But this is more than a science lesson… it’s a heart lesson.

Kids will discover that everything in the universe was made by God with purpose and care. From the swirling galaxies to the tiniest creature, every part of creation tells us something about the love and creativity of our God.

But at the very center of it all is the child. Your child. Made in God’s image, known by name, and loved beyond measure.

Why It Matters

In a world that often tries to define kids by what they do or what they look like, God defines them by who they are to Him. This VBS is designed to speak into each child’s heart:

You are known.
You are created on purpose.
You matter in God’s big universe.
You were made to shine.

Through Bible teaching, crafts, music, skits, games, and a ton of fun, kids will leave not only having learned about creation - but knowing their place in it.

Things to Remember

Cell Phones

Cell phones are not permitted and may be confiscated if seen, however, they will be returned at the end of the program.

Attire

Please have kids wear sunblock, dry fit clothing and water Shoes. Kids will spend time outdoors in water and in the sun.

Water Activities

This Space Adventure will include activities with water, so we ask that kids avoid wearing white clothing.

Check-In / Pick-Up

🌌 Steps for Check-In & Pick-Up

🚀 Check-In (8:00 AM – Middle Hallway of Church)

Go to the Check-In Station in the middle hallway of the church.
Check in with a team member and to receive your Guardian Pick-Up Receipt.
A Crew Member will then go retrieve your child and guide them to their group.

🌠 Steps for Pick-Up (5:00 PM – Parking Lot)

Return to the Pick-Up Center in the Parking Lot.
Show your Guardian Receipt to a crew member.
A Crew Member will bring your child to you.
Don’t forget to take your child’s crafts and belongings before you leave!

TIP: Take a photo of your Guardian Receipt in case it gets lost.

A Different Parent/Guardian Picking Up?

Provide the Group Guide with the first and last name of the person picking up.
The individual picking up your child will need to present their Driver's License.
