Speech Language Therapy
Welcome to Speech and Language Therapy!
My name is Megan Wambold. The kids all call me Ms. Megan. This is my 13th year as the speech/language therapist at Copenhagen. Before that, I worked for 3 years as a preschool therapist and 2 years at BOCES as a school-age therapist. I provide screening services and evaluations, as well as provide therapy services for students with a range of speech/language delays. This page has a lot of information related to developmental milestones, as well as reference materials. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions of information you would like to see on here.
As we approach 10 weeks of school, just wanted to send a quick reminder that IEP progress reports will be sent home in the mail. Those students receiving speech improvement services will have a progress report sent home with their report cards .
Also, parent-teacher conferences are coming up at the end of the month. I try to attend as many as I can during the scheduled classroom teacher meetings, but I am frequently scheduled for more than one meeting at a time. If you want to meet separately or really want me at the classroom meeting, please let me know!
If you have concerns about your child's speech, language or auditory processing skills, please contact me or the classroom teacher. Parents can request screening at any time throughout the school year.
