I am so excited to be your child's teacher! Here is a little bit about myself. I am a former District #93 student and have been teaching for 27 years. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with my specialty being in Reading from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University as well as an English as a 2nd Language endorsement. My husband and I are the proud parents of our 14-year-old son, Adam and our 11-year-old son Aaron, In my free time, I enjoy attending games for my sons' sports teams, coaching my son's dodgeball team, singing for weddings and special events, going to Wrigley Field for Chicago Cubs games, traveling, attending musical theater, swimming, bike riding, and photography. I also attended Roy De Shane School as a child for Kindergarten- 5th Grade! At the time, my mother was the Speech Pathologist here. When I walk through the halls I am flooded with memories and it is great to be back! I am so looking forward to getting to know your child and family this year and celebrating your child's many accomplishments! Looking forward to seeing you soon at "Meet the Teacher!"
