Motivar los estudiantes a leer

100 Book Challenge es un programa que motiva a los estudiantes a leer. Por cada libro que leen (o que alguien lo lee) anotan el libro en su registro. Para cada 100 libros que leen, ganan una medalla.

Motiving students to read

100 Book Challenge is a program that motivates our students to read. For each book that they read (or that is read to them) they log that book into their book log. For every 100 books the student reads, he/she earns a medal.

Cada día su hijo/a tendrá en su mochila una bolsa azul con libros prestados (marcados con una pegajosa de American Reading Company en la portada) y su registro. Cada vez que leen un libro en la casa (cualquier libro), anotan el título del libro en una linea del registro, pongan la fecha, y necesitan tener la firma de un adulto o hermano/a mayor. También leeremos en la escuela para que marquen más libros en sus registros. La meta de cada estudiante es leer 1,000 libros antes del final del año escolar.

Each day your child will have a blue book bag in his/her backpack containing borrowed books (marked with an American Reading Company sticker on the cover) along with a book log. Each time you read a book at home (any book), write down the title of the book, add the date, and have an adult or older sibling sign. We also read books in school and have the students help mark them in their logs. The goal for each student is to read 1,000 books before the end of this school year.

Teaching early literacy skills
