Welcome to a new school year at Cottonwood Elementary! At Cottonwood, our mission is to prepare every student for a successful future by delivering a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and caring environment. We believe in the potential of every child to succeed academically, and we are proud to have a dedicated staff that is passionate about helping each student thrive.
Cottonwood Elementary is part of the Campbell County School District (CCSD) and serves a wide attendance area—including the community of Wright and surrounding regions extending south toward Converse County, west to Johnson County, east to Weston County, and north to Gillette.
We follow an alternative school calendar and serve students in grades K–6, with an enrollment of around 200 students. In addition to core academics, our students benefit from programs in art, music, physical education, technology, and library/media. We also offer services in special education and English as a Second Language (ESL) to meet the diverse needs of our students.
As a Title I school, we are committed to supporting students who may face additional challenges, ensuring they meet high academic standards. Title I funding also supports ongoing professional development for our staff and enhances learning opportunities through enriched and accelerated programs.
We’re excited about the year ahead and all the possibilities it holds! If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office at (307) 464-0584.
