Public Shows
Come and enjoy our thrilling public shows. Whether it be one of our specialized Fulldome Shows, a spectacular and unique Star Tour or one of the brilliant Laser Shows. We host shows to the public when they are scheduled. If you wish to reserve the planetarium solely for you or your party, please contact us in advance. Due to the popularity of our building, shows may need to be scheduled quite a time in advance. FullDome Shows
Our immersive FullDome shows utilize our projectors and our entire dome. We cast videos across the entire screen in order to create a more immersive feel. FullDome shows are typically presented for an entire semester with at least one showing per month.
Star Tours
When you look up at the stars what do you see? A jumbled mess of glittering dots? If that's the case (or even if it isn't) come to one of our Live Shows and we can help you make sense of that stellar mix up. We can use our innovative and high tech Chronos II system to cast the night sky as well as our projectors to create constellations and other objects such as nebulae, galaxies or planets.
These are your classical style of planetarium shows. We will bring up our starball and one of our expert presenters will guide you through the expanse of space. They will present constellations and the stories that come with them. They will present the hidden objects within our stars and teach you how to fins them. Our amazing Sky Tonight shows will depict all these things as well as go a little deeper into our skies. These shows will change every month as to create a whole new scene of stars and objects every time you come to visit.
Laser Shows
Laser Shows are an exciting and mesmerizing feature within any planetarium. We are equipped with a AV SkyLase system with atmospheric beams. We project images onto our dome with these beams of multicolored light and create fantastic moving images throughout the process. We also use a smoke machine and the atmospheric lasers to create dancing lines and shapes above your head. Due to the popularity of these shows, please schedule at least two weeks in advance.
Disclaimer
In order to create the images seen, one beam of light is rapidly vibrated in order to trick the human eye into seeing a solid line. As such, these shows can potentially trigger epileptic attacks as well as seizures. The fog used to enhance the visuals of the atmospheric lights may also resent issues for some.
