About Ms. Jordan

Ms. Jordan received a BME from Indiana University in 2015. Since then, she has been teaching orchestra in Community Consolidated School District, near her hometown of Arlington Heights. Her teaching career started at age 14, when she gave her first private cello lesson. Since then she has grown to have experience teaching string players of all ages throughout the Midwest and in South America. Ms. Jordan is currently pursuing a Masters of Music Education at Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.

In her free time, Ms Jordan loves camping, bike riding, trying new recipes, listening to podcasts, and watching Netflix with her cat.

In the midst of the unique stresses of 2020, I want all students and families know that I am here to solve problems and make sure that orchestra is an engaging and safe space for students!

Every musician has been struggling with how to bring all the magic of playing music together onto online platforms and socially-distant spaces. While we don't have the perfect answers yet, here's a little experiment I tried over the summer.
