This course will be designed to meet the new IB standards. It is a one year course. There will be a focus on applications and interpretation with an emphasis on statistics, modelling and use of technology. This course will be appropriate for those with an interest in the applications of mathematics and how technology can support this. This course is appropriate for students who, before this course existed, would have taken IB Math Studies and then College Calculus or AP Calculus. This subject is aimed at students who will go on to study subjects such as social sciences, natural sciences, medicine, statistics, business, some economics courses, psychology, and design. The graphing calculator is used throughout the course and is required. Students must sit for the IB Exam to receive IB weighting.
