Welcome to my webpage! My name is Mrs. Cram-Torres
This upcoming school year will be my 5th year at CCHS. However, it will mark my 17th year as an educator in the English classroom.
My journey to CCHS was a very fullfilling one. Although I grew up here in Cumberland County I moved to Sacramento, California when I was 15 years old. From there I graduated high school and attended college at California State Fullerton located in Orange County California- (please don't call it the "OC"...we hate that). I played basketball on a full ride scholarship and completed my BA in Speech Communication. I also earned a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration ...but I later added a BA in English Literature and began my teaching career in August of 2000. I spent two years teaching English at a junior high school in Anaheim California and then moved to Villa Park High School where I taught English for 10 years. From there I moved to Brea Olinda High School and taught for an additional 3 years before relocating my family back to Cumberland County to be closer to my father.
I have been married to my husband Jon Torres for 15 years and we have two sons, Kole and Huston. Both boys attend Homestead Elementary. My husband also works in the Special Education Department at Homestead as well.
I am very passionate about Literature and love being in the classroom. I have many hobbies, some of these are (of course) reading, playing basketball, paddle boarding, and hanging with our 1 year old Boxer named "Nike"!!
This year, I hope you enjoy your journey into high school. Please don't hesitate to come see me if you have any questions.
See ya in class:)
