Scratch Art

Focus:

• Create Value using pen and ink techniques
• Create Texture using pen and ink techniques
• Use materials correctly

Project:

1. Look through the handout and look on the computer for scratch artwork examples
2. You will draw your image onto a piece of paper.
3. You will practice using the scratch art tools on a smaller piece of scratchboard
4. You will free draw or transfer your image onto the final piece of scratchboard
   1. (Tip: When you erase on the scratchboard, there will be a shiny area)
5. You will use hatching and cross hatching techniques (example below) to create your scratch art
