During the month of May, the American Counseling Association (ACA) joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Established in 1949, Mental Health Month sought to put a spotlight on the importance of mental health and wellness. Each year we continue to fight against the stigma associated with mental health, provide support for those with mental illness and the counselors supporting them, as well as advocate for policies on behalf of those with mental illness and their loved ones.

While 1 in 5 people will experience mental illness over the course of their lifetimes, everyone will face challenges that can and will affect their mental health. This year, our slogan for Mental Health Month is #BeKindtoYourMind. We encourage you to highlight the significance of mental health awareness and talk to your counselors about how you are feeling!

What are the t-shirts and how can I get one?

We have a t-shirt for every single senior and we will be distributing them on Wednesday May 19! Seniors can pick up and tie dye their t-shirts between 12 and 3 PM! If you miss that date, you can pick up your t-shirt at lunch the following day!

Why should I attend the Decision Celebration?

We are having I&L DJing bring their photo booth so you and your friends have a way to remember your LAST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL! We are also having a Kona Ice truck come and provide our seniors with FREE Kona Ice! Not to mention all of the free merch you will get just for attending!
