Want to be in Yearbook?

Yearbook is an elective course, however, it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and creativity!

Students interested taking yearbook should display the following qualities:

Timeliness: Attendance to school is vital to your success in this class and to the success of the yearbook. If you’re not here, you’re behind on your spread. If your spread is late, we’re behind on deadlines. You must make every effort to be in class every day. It is expected that you meet deadlines and adhere to any and all scheduled events.

There may also be times that you will need to stay after school for coverage or to meet a deadline. You must be flexible and willing to put in the time and effort to make our book successful.

Risk-taking: This class requires you to leave your comfort zone from time to time. You need to be ready and willing to speak with new people and to get to know different perspectives. It is also a requirement that you are flexible and ready to learn new vocabulary, software, and to work closely with others.

Responsibility: Being a part of yearbook comes with a large responsibility- people pay for the product we create. You must take on this obligation and be dedicated to creating a quality product- if you wouldn’t buy the book, we’re not doing our jobs correctly.

Attention to detail: Details matter. How can you sell someone a book if you spell their name incorrectly throughout? Perfection may be an unfair expectation, but we should shoot for as close as humanly possible. Attention to detail ahead of time will save us a lot of headache and money.
