The Midlothian Girls’ Soccer program is a competitive team that focuses on the fundamentals of soccer and sportsmanship.
Our season will run from February 12, 2018 until mid-April (tournament dates are TBD).
Practice will be held daily on the main field from 3:10 to 4:30pm, weather permitting. All practices and games are required
Open-Gym or Pre-Tryout Conditioning Information
We will hold our pre-season interest meeting on Wednesday, January 24 in room 312 from 3:00pm - 3:30pm. Topics to be covered include tryout information and required forms, as well as general season information. If a student is unable to attend this meeting, they can still tryout for the team! See Coach Bayliss with any questions.
Tryout Dates and Times
February 12 | 3:15 to 4:30
February 13 | 3:15 to 4:30 - First Cuts
February 14 | 3:15 to 4:30 - Final Cuts
First cuts will be made on Tuesday, February 13 and final cuts will be made on Wednesday, February 14. Both cut lists will be featured on this web page by 7:00pm on the respective dates.
The first team practice will be held on Thursday, February 15 from 3:00 - 4:00pm in room 312. This practice is designed to collect uniform information and pass out necessary team forms to be signed by parents. We will not play during this practice.
Other Team Information
This seasons team will consist of no more than 20 athletes. All athletes must have a physical dated after May 1, 2017, in addition to a completed concussion awareness form and their most recent report card. Both forms can be found on our website or in the main office.
Additionally, all team members will be required to maintain B averages or higher in all coursework for the duration of the season. Failure to maintain a B average could result in dismissal from the team and/or the inability to participate in competitive play.
