So, you’ve seen it. You may have even played with it. Or you may have been an early adopter and fully implemented Canvas into your everyday world as a teacher. No matter where you have landed on the spectrum during the year of the “soft rollout” there will be a session for you in the Summer Canvas Training!
Still not sure exactly what Canvas can do? This innovative LMS (Learning Management System) allows you to change how YOU teach and how YOUR STUDENTS learn! During these summer trainings, several session formats will be offered to suit your professional needs. If you teach an SOL-tested course, you will have the option to attend a blueprint session tailored for your grade/content area. Teachers of non-SOL-tested courses may attend breakout sessions about many effective applications of Canvas in the classroom. K-2 and ES Resource teachers will have a course designed just for them! So come on out and get started this summer!
Simply sign in to ImpactU and search for Canvas Summer Training to register. Choose the session you would like to attend and click the “Register” button. If you need to see more sections, click “View All Sections.”
There are morning and afternoon sessions on August 7,8, 12 and 13. This means you have 6 interactive, informative, and creative sessions to choose from!
There is a self-paced, online “Introduction to Canvas Course” as a prerequisite. This can be done at your leisure from wherever you wish. If you have completed this previously, it would be a good idea to walk through it again for a refresher.
Come join us for the “Canvas Summer Courses” and prepare for a new beginning in your classroom next year.
