In The Loop
Updates for the Parents/Carers of Christ’s College Finchley
HALF TERM IS 17TH - 21ST FEBRUARY
Dear families,
I am delighted to be writing to you in our new-look In the Loop. We are working to make ITL a useful and easy-to-read weekly update: please click the menu button in the top left hand corner if you are reading this on a phone or tablet in order read the rest of this week's edition. We are also updating our website (click here) and I would like to remind parents to follow the school’s instagram (@christscollegefinchley or click here) for regular updates on all that is happening at CCF.
This week we had our planned Shelter in Place practice and pupils were impressive with their behaviour and their mature approach to this important safety drill. We also had an unscheduled fire drill and pupils evacuated the building with our usual high standards.
We have had another busy week here at CCF with Year 13 pupils finishing their mock examinations and Year 11 pupils receiving their mock exam results this afternoon. Year 11 pupils were able to experience what it will be like to open that all-important envelope whilst there is still time to make a change before the summer and Year 13 will have a similar experience at their mock exam results event in the coming weeks.
I would like to congratulate Autumn in Year 10 for her strong performance at the Jack Petchey Speak Out regional final this week which saw her awarded third place in Barnet, and thank Ms Subramoney for her organisation of the competition. I am also delighted to share that Amir in Year 13 has received an offer to study Physics at the prestigious University of Oxford.
Finally, I wish you all a lovely weekend.
Dr Ruth Hill
Headteacher
