Taiwan is an island country surrounded by the sea. Coastal space plays the role of coordination between the landing site and the ocean.Regardless of the humanities, history, or ecological environment, many are constructed by frequent shuttles along the coast. As the tide goes back and forth, there are waves. The state of space is constantly changing. However, because the form of Taiwan’s coastal space is always presentedin a closed manner, the artificial coast occupies more than 60% of the Taiwan, and the existence of such a form of coastal space allows us to interact with the sea in our daily lives. Alienation, the distance between each other is far away.
And I think that in daily life, the swimming pool, which can be exposed to water, lacks the conversion process between function and function in the space experience. I want to break the standard experience process and increase the ritual of the space. I want people can get closer to water through changes in perception on the coast.
In terms of base selection, I found a field composed of artificial coast and natural beach at Huanggang Fishing Port . There is a long breakwater between the two plots. I want to turn the coastline in my imagination by 90 degrees. Instead of the original breakwater, the original compact experience is elongated and scattered on this path. I think that in the process of experiencing water, the temperature change is the most to make people feel that the process being experienced is changing, as well as being able to focus on feeling the space, allowing people to walk in the space of different perception changes. Through the alternating experience between hot and cold and the extension of the experience process, it is hoped that people really feel the existence of water.
