When the declaration of political consciousness overrides the relationship between people, those small but significant daily emotions seem to have never existed... At the beginning of the planning of the memorial square, the Linsen South Road became the beginning of my discussion. When the underground passage is built, the "daily life" is covered by the political memorial field from this moment. It is like the strategy of the urban plan that reflects the current social facts at the same time.
I chose Linsen South Road as a medium to intervene in the memorial square and respond in a light-framed way on the surface, so that the urban texture can be read by the people. At the same time, I created new heights on this path and changed the way people look at the memorial hall. Many circulations are based on the attached structure. They will connect the two sides of the square to the newly placed space. While retaining the original memorial axis, it allows the daily existence of the boundary to intervene in the center of the memorial square.
These are media for dialogue between the new and the old, so that the relationship between daily life and the power axis of the past can be co-prosperous.
As the times go by, the square space is no longer just a contemporary homage to heroes and great men. Whether this fortress of political memory can accept the changes of the place is parallel to the contemporary era.
