Positive Discipline Program
WE BELIEVE ALL OF OUR STUDENTS CAN BEHAVE APPROPRIATELY AT SCHOOL.
A positive school climate involves students who play an important role in their own educational program. In such an atmosphere, the classes are neither teacher-dominated nor student controlled; rather they are joint efforts in experiencing, relating, learning, and treating each other with dignity and respect. The discipline program needs to be a simple structure with reasonable rules from which follows natural, realistic, and logical consequences. Using this program, students learn to label and assume responsibility for their own feelings and/or actions, allowing them to solve problems they have created. This discipline program is a learning process that teaches the child to accept responsibility for the choices he/she makes and the consequences of those choices.
