Arrival & Dismissal

Car Riders

• Morning arrival procedures: Car riders enter through the front doors and report to their classrooms.  Students may be dropped off starting at 8:10 a.m.  

• Afternoon dismissal procedures:  Dismissal time is 3:45 p.m.Car riders dismiss on the side of the building, and all car riders must be picked up in the car line. Your child will wait in the classroom until you arrive. Please have your car tag hanging from your mirror. We will have staff members in the car line lanes entering your assigned car tag number into a document that is instantly displayed on every teacher’s overhead screen.  

  • Students should enter and exit cars only in approved areas.  Helpful signs are posted in the dismissal area. No cars will be allowed to pick up children in the car line without a car tag.  

  • If you do not have a tag, you will need to park in the front parking lot to register for a car tag. Click here to request a 2025-2026 car tag.

  • We are asking that parents remain at their cars during car line dismissal.  We will have faculty throughout the three lanes helping children find their rides.  

Bus Riders

• Morning arrival procedures:  Bus riders unload in the side parking lot in the morning and report to their classroom.  Buses will unload one bus at a time, in a line observing social distancing.

• Afternoon dismissal procedures:  Bus riders will load from the front of the school as their bus arrives one bus at a time.  Students will wait in their classrooms until their bus is announced.

• Staff members will assist your child as they enter and exit the bus areas.  

• Please note that during the first few weeks of school, bus routes are monitored for the number of riders and travel time and adjusted if needed.

• Please sign up for our bus tracker app; the information sheet is included in your child’s open house packet.

Walkers/Bike Riders 

• Walkers/Bike Riders are dismissed through the front doors where a parent may meet them.  This area is only used for parents that intend to walk home or ride bikes home.  Please do not park your car and meet your child here to pick them up.  If you are driving a car, please use the car line.  

*First Day of School Procedures: If you are planning to walk your child in on the first day, your car must be parked in a lined parking space.  Parking on the curbs prevents the buses from being able to get to their drop off area.  The yellow curb in front of the building is our fire lane, and cars are never to be parked in this area.

Please be aware that all transportation changes must be sent in writing--we are not allowed to accept changes by phone or email.  If you are checking a student out for an appointment, please make every attempt to arrive before 3:30 so that we can call your child from class before our busy dismissal procedures begin.  You may NOT pick your child up from the front lobby during dismissal.
