Welcome to my class! I will be teaching 8th Grade Georgia Studies this year. This is my first year at Columbia Middle School and I am excited to be a raider!

I have been married 18 years to my husband, Michael. We actually met in Middle School and dated in 8th grade. We have had four daughters: Rachel, Emily (12), Allison (10), & Madeleine (7) that have kept us very busy!

I received my Bachelor's Degree in History from Texas State University and a Masters' Degree in North American History from Arizona State University. I was a stay at home mom and military spouse for over 10 years. Prior to that, I taught social studies for 4 years in Panama City, Florida.

I've lived in Georgia for 6 years. I'm enjoying exploring this beautiful and historical state! I'm an avid reader and I love to travel. I have been lucky enough to visit Europe 6 times, Canada, Mexico, and 40 states. I grew up in Texas and I'll always consider it home. We've also lived in Florida and Colorado before making our home in Georgia.
