Within this module there are 3 Weekly Assessments. These Weekly Assessments test students’ understanding of the current Reading skills (found below in anchor charts) by assessing comprehension and vocabulary.
The Weekly Assessments include the following question types:
• Selected response: These questions require students to choose an answer from several provided options.
• Constructed response: These questions require students to write or type a response.
• Technology enhanced adapted for print: Online, these questions require students to click, drag, or interact in order to respond. For print administration, these questions have been adapted to require students to draw or write to respond.

Why does the author use comparison and contrast structure in paragraph 4? Select the two words in the paragraph that are clues to the comparison and contrast structure. How is the information in the passage mostly arranged? How is the section of the biography organized?
What does the timeline help readers understand? How does the author present things in the passage that he wants the reader to know? Why did the author most likely include a table/chart?
Why did the author write this passage? Which sentence from the speech is an opinion? How does the author support the idea?
What claim does the author make in her speech? Based on information in the passage, which statement would the author most likely make? Which detail from the article best supports the author’s claim?
