Hey y'all! My name is Ashley Fryer and I am going to be your first grade teacher! This is my 12th year teaching first grade at Blue Ridge Elementary. I have my gifted endorsement and received my Bachelors, Masters and Specialist Degrees from Augusta University. I also had the greatest honor of being named Columbia County's Teacher of The Year for the 2021-2022 School Year. I absolutely LOVE first grade and all of the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have! I am committed to building a classroom community where each of my students feels loved and valued. The friendships I create with my students, and their families, are such a treasure to me and I truly believe that is the starting point to an excellent year!I grew up in a military family so I have lived all over - including Japan! - but Augusta is where my heart is. This town has been my home for the past 25 years and it is hard to imagine living anywhere else.I am married to my high school sweetheart, Patrick, and we have two adorable furbabies - Rigel (our 13 year old kitty) and Jessie (our 10 year old pup). We have a beautiful little girl, Hazel, who just turned two this past summer! Being a mama has provided me with even more joy than I can express!! When I am not teaching, I love to read, interior decorate, organize, create things on PowerPoint, listen to music, cook, and spend time with those I love! I cannot wait to spend this next year learning and growing with you!
