Meet your Counselors

My name is Kristy Allen. I am the half-time counselor at Martinez Elementary. I am married to my husband Matt, who also works in the Columbia County School System. We have a four-legged fur baby named Bonnie. I love spending time with them, along with traveling, reading, and dog sitting. This is my tenth year as a school counselor, but my first working with young children. I am very happy at MES and look forward to assisting the parents, faculty, staff, and students as needed. Please contact me if I can be of help to you!

My name is Mrs. Poteete. I am one of the counselors at Martinez Elementary School. I have a husband, six children, a dog, and a cat. They all keep me very busy when I am not at school. Prior to being a school counselor I was a teacher for many years. My family and I moved to Georgia from Texas a couple of years ago. I love working with students and children. If you need anything at all do not hesitate to ask.
