Class overview
My first-grade classroom is designed to make learning accessible, equitable, and enjoyable to all students. The learning environment allows students to access tasks that appropriately challenge them academically while also serving as a place where students of all cultures and backgrounds can access a fair education. This year, we will build and develop literacy, thinking, and cognitive skills. We will also learn social-emotional skills, sharing, and interacting with peers.
About me
I love teaching and learning. As a young child, I always wished to become a teacher; dreams do come true! I graduated from Augusta University, Piedmont College, and Georgia Southern University. My highest education is a Specialist in Elementary Education (Ed.S) and I have recently completed my certification in Educational Leadership.
I am excited to see our first graders advance as they learn to new reading, writing and math skills this year!
Outside the classroom, I love spending quality time with my husband and children. We all love to travel and visit new places.
