Mr. Mackert
This is my ninth year teaching and my second year at Columbia Middle School. I have taught sixth, seventh, and eight grade math, as well as Algebra. I have also taught Earth Science and Life Science. I graduated from GRU with a BS in Biology and then went on to get my MAT in Middle Grades at AU.

All benchmarks count 5% each 9 weeks starting 24-25 school year

80% course grade, 20% semester exam/EOC
80% course grade
S1-60% (50% cumulative course grade, 5% BM 1, 5% BM 2), 40% Final/EOC
S2-60% (55% cumulative course grade, 5% BM 3), 40% Final/EOC

Tutoring
Ask if you need help! I am glad to help you, but won’t know you need it if you do not say something. I will hold tutoring primarily for HOMEWORK HELP & REASSESSMENTS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from dismissal until 3:30. Students must have a way home in order to attend.
Classroom Materials to be successful:
Designated spot in 3-Ring Binder or Folder to store any papers from workbooks or handouts
Pencils!!
Calculators will be available for use in class, but one will be needed for homework

Graphing Calculator (TI-83 or TI-84) for Algebra

Responsibility and Preparation
Come to class prepared with your binder, writing utensils, and supplies DAILY
Start working on your warm up exercise immediately so class can begin within five minutes of the bell
Work should be turned in on its due date
Follow instructions and be respectful of property, peers, and teachers!

I am married to Larissa and we have 3 kids, Natalie, Drew, and Auggie. I have 2 dogs and a bearded dragon. My favorite things to do are disc golf, watch football, play video games, cook, and work out.
