Academic Bowl – sponsored by Timothy Hunter
Open to all students who enjoy academic challenges. Students practice for competitions with students from other schools in Columbia County and possibly around the state, depending on the team's success. Parents are encouraged to travel with students or give permission for them to travel to away competitions.
Art Club – sponsored by Margaret Horton
Open to all students who enjoy art. Students work on various projects throughout the year, individually or in groups. We will make stage props for our yearly drama presentation, paint, do community projects and raise funds for our faculty and staff!
Beta Club – sponsored by Emily Gainey
Open to students with high academic averages. Students are invited to join based on grades. Students participate in community projects, serve as pages for Veteran's Day, and read character essays every Friday.
Bible Club- sponsored by Jonathan Hellyer
Open to all students who want to learn more about the Bible. Lakeside Middle School Bible Club's mission is to empower students to grow in their faith and leadership through biblical teachings, community service, and fellowship. It seeks to create a supportive environment where young hearts and minds can explore and deepen their relationship with God, build meaningful friendships, and make a positive impact in their school and beyond. Meeting location will be in the library on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:00-7:30 am.
Cyber Patriots - Sponsored by Samaritan Simmons
Membership is by application with parent signature, and is open to any student. Meeting date is Thursday 3 - 5 pm weekly. Students compete in a CyberPatriot Competition for Regional, State and National Rounds. This is an Air Force sponsored event that seeks to teach students about Cyber Security. https://www.uscyberpatriot.org/
Fellowship of Christian Athletes -Sponsored by April Cox and John Drake
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is open to all students whether you are on a sports team or not. This club provides students an opportunity to experience Christian community on their school’s campus. It provides students hands-on opportunities to learn leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a mentorship environment and provides opportunities for members to learn what it means to serve other students and teachers in their school. Students also have opportunities to connect with their community through service projects and events. FCA meets every Friday morning in the gym from 7:00 to 7:30.
Harry Potter Club – sponsored by Erin James
Membership is limited to 28 students, but any student may apply. Students will read the entire Harry Potter Series from August- March. They will participate in crafts, school events, yearbook activities, and compete to win the House Cup! The meeting location will be in the library every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 7:00-7:30am.

Jazz Band - sponsored by Olivia Ladun
Open to all 7th and 8th grade Band students. (Students must be enrolled in Band to participate.) Students have the opportunity to perform Jazz, Rock and Latin music, and well as Popular tunes! Information will be given out in your Band class in March, and the club meets every Wednesday from 2:45-3:15. (You can find our calendar here).
Lakeside Middle students are respectful when they are bringing their best attitudes towards teachers and each other.
LMS students show that they are responsible when they arrive to class on time, get to where they need to go, complete their work, and carry around their panther pride.
