Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Dear students, 

 My name is Mrs. Gerlach (ger-lack). Teaching is an absolute joy of mine; I cannot imagine doing anything else! I know we will accomplish great things and learn much this year in Biology and Environmental Science! 

      For the past 18 years, I have taught in Columbia County (16 years at Lakeside High and 2 at Greenbrier High) teaching Biology and Environmental Science.  I have also taught Chemistry and Physical Science. It has been such a challenging yet highly rewarding profession. I enjoy pushing my curriculum and myself to the next level; I always revise materials for you all to have the most up-to-date, compelling information delivered in a student-engaged atmosphere.  It is my hope to reach and have a positive impact on you all this school year!

As for my detailed class calendars (which includes active links), those are found in Google Classroom, under "Classwork". I will update frequently.

  As for myself and family, I have been married to my 

best friend, Geoffrey, for 17 years.  We have 3 children (Ella 

Michael/14 years, Eli/11 years, and Edy Grae/9 years).  We 

have two fur babies (Linus/Poodle and Fern/Malitpoo). 

 My family enjoys anything outdoors; we especially love 

hiking, kayaking, trail riding, and the beach. Do not let 

that outdoorsy stuff fool you.  I can shop ‘til I drop too 

and love interior decorating! Can’t wait to see you soon
