Hello! It is so nice to meet you!

Hi! My name is Skylar Cowart. This will be my sixth year teaching! I taught kindergarten here at MES for five years, where I served as the grade chair for four of those years. This will be my first year as an EIP teacher and I am so excited for a new challenge!

 I am a graduate of Georgia Southern University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Go Eagles! I earned my master's degree and my specialist degree from Augusta University. I also have endorsements in reading and gifted education. 

My husband and I are originally from Thomson, Georgia, and we moved to Augusta when we got married in 2022. We have a one-year-old daughter named Annie Betts, and we are expecting another baby girl in January 2026! 

 I love iced coffee, Target, and all things pink! In my free time, you will find me spending time with my family, shopping, or at the lake!
