The GTHS Science Club consists of the Science Bowl and the Science Olympiad.
The Science Olympiad consists of 23 events across the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students work as a team of 15 in competition for the chance to compete at the state and national tournaments in the spring.
The Science Bowl is a fast-paced, trivia based competition in which two teams of 4 compete against each other answering questions in the field of science and mathematics.
The majority of the school year consists of preparing for invitationals and regional competition with the opportunity to compete in state and national tournaments.
Students who choose to participate in either (or both) of these competitions must be willing and are expected to take the time and effort to prepare for competitions by attending and working during meetings and continuing to prepare outside of meetings.
