Letter to Families

Dear Families,

Hi! My name is Mrs. Kreh, and I am your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to a very exciting and productive year. This will be my 32nd year of teaching and my 22nd year teaching sixth grade students here at CCA. Also, this year I will also be welcoming in s small group of 5th graders as well. I am also looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your students.

My major goals for this year are that all students in my class will:

  • Develop skills in written expression, so they can communicate in both narrative and expository styles.

  • Master the grade level skills in mathematics.

  • Learn to work cooperatively in groups and to sometimes take the leadership role.

  • Speak in front of groups with confidence and style.

  • Read with understanding and comprehension.

  • Stay focused on written tasks and bring those tasks to completion.

  • Develop positive character qualities and management techniques.

  • Use information they learn in real-life situations.

  • Promote independence and make appropriate academic and personal choices.

I mostly communicate electronically through email or FaceBook messenger. If you are not already on my page (Kreh Class), please request to be added. I will also inform you of any late or incomplete assignments on a daily or weekly basis.

I am anticipating a good year of learning and enjoyment. As the year begins and progresses, I encourage you to keep in touch with me. My email address, which I check regularly throughout the day, is krehd@ccabr.org. The phone number here is 796-6589, and my extension is 332. If you send me an email immediately, I will add you to my contacts.

Your child will be, or has already been assigned an email address and Google account through the school. I know their usernames and passwords, and their emails are only to be used for school purposes. I also have a Dojo account which is used mainly for tracking students, but there is a text message capability.

Once again, I look forward to working with your student this year. Please feel free to let me know any information that may help me to be successful with your child, and also let me know the best way (and time) to reach you by completing the Contact Form attached.

Sincerely,

Diane Kreh
