En compañía de la familia, busquen una regla o una tabla y un objeto que pueda funcionar como base, por ejemplo, un borrador o un rollo de papel. Coloquen la regla sobre la base para simular un sube y baja. Expliquen que la base representa el punto de apoyo, ya que sostiene la regla y permite su movimiento. Posteriormente, ubiquen un juguete en cada extremo y observen atentamente qué ocurre cuando uno de ellos tiene mayor peso. Finalmente, intenten desplazar el punto de apoyo y dialoguen acerca de los cambios que se producen en el movimiento.
Together as a family, find a ruler or a small board and an object that can serve as a base, such as an eraser or a paper roll. Place the ruler on top of the base to simulate a seesaw. Explain that the base represents the fulcrum, as it supports the ruler and allows it to move. Then, position one toy at each end and carefully observe what happens when one object is heavier than the other. Finally, try moving the fulcrum and discuss the changes observed in the movement.

Luego, propongan dar algunos pasos sin el bastón y promuevan un diálogo comparativo sobre las diferencias percibidas. Finalmente, reflexionen en conjunto acerca de la importancia del bastón como elemento de apoyo y seguridad en la vida cotidiana.
Together as a family, obtain a cane, a broomstick, or a sturdy tube that can be used safely. Allow the child to observe and handle it while explaining that a cane is an object that provides support and helps maintain body balance. Then, invite the child to walk slowly while holding it with one hand, paying attention to the sense of stability experienced when leaning on it. Afterwards, encourage the child to take a few steps without the cane and engage in a brief discussion comparing the differences observed. Finally, reflect together on the importance of the cane as a means of support and safety in everyday life.

En familia, propongan un juego de roles llamado “El consultorio del ortopedista”. Expliquen que el ortopedista es el médico que cuida los huesos, músculos y articulaciones cuando alguien se lastima o tiene dolor.
Uno de los integrantes será el paciente y otro el ortopedista. El “paciente” puede fingir que se lastimó un brazo o una pierna, y el “ortopedista” deberá revisar con cuidado, hacer preguntas como: “¿Dónde te duele?” y sugerir recomendaciones, como usar una venda imaginaria o guardar reposo.
Luego, cambien los roles para que el niño también pueda ser el ortopedista. Al finalizar, conversen sobre cómo este profesional ayuda a las personas a sanar y a moverse mejor.

As a family, create a role-play activity called “The Orthopedist’s Office.” Explain that an orthopedist is the doctor who takes care of bones, muscles, and joints when someone gets hurt or feels pain.
One family member can pretend to be the patient, while another acts as the orthopedist. The “patient” may pretend to have hurt an arm or a leg, and the “doctor” should carefully examine them, asking questions such as, “Where does it hurt?” and suggesting simple solutions like an imaginary bandage or rest.
Then, switch roles so the child can also become the orthopedist. At the end, talk together about how this professional helps people heal and move better.

Finalmente, encenderás el equipo y utilizarás cada uno de sus componentes con la debida supervisión de un adulto, reconociendo su funcionamiento y la importancia de emplearlo de manera responsable.
In this activity, you will observe a computer and watch an explanatory video about its parts and functions. Afterwards, you will identify those parts on a real computer—such as the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and CPU—and discuss with your family what each one is used for. Finally, you will turn on the computer and use each of its components under adult supervision, recognizing how they function and the importance of using technology responsibly.
