Life is understood as a divine gift, a time granted by God (or the gods) to fulfill a spiritual or moral purpose. Life is not only about physical existence, but also about growing in values ​​such as love, faith, hope, respect, and the pursuit of good. Many religions see life as preparation for something greater: eternal life, reunion with the divine, or spiritual fulfillment.

Death is not seen simply as the end, but as a transition. It is the passage from earthly existence to a new form of existence: it may be heaven, reincarnation, paradise, union with the absolute, or judgment according to the actions performed in life. Death, in this sense, has a sense of continuity: life does not end, but rather changes form or ascends to another state.
