This year's 2021 NFL Draft class is filled with many talented QBs that have a chance to be some of the best at their position. In my opinion, the best choice at QB in this year's draft would be Trevor Lawrence. This QB out of Clemson leads the way for the Jaguars as he was the No.1 overall pick. Lawrence has never lost a regular season game of football in his life and has been compared to the great Tom Brady. He hopes to become the next great QB in the NFL for the Jaguars.
The No. 2 overall pick was Zach Wilson of BYU who was taken by the New York Jets. Some NFL scouts have said he will be better than Trevor Lawrence, which is a big test for him. The New York Jets have been the bottom feeders of the NFL for some time now. Now, with Zach Wilson, the future looks bright for them.
The No. 3 overall pick was Trey Lance of North Dakota State. While unproven and underdeveloped, Trey Lance has one of the highest ceilings of any QB in this draft. Yet his floor is one of the lowest. He was taken by the San Francisco 49ers who have one of the best rosters for a young QB to prosper with. The 49ers will certainly be Super Bowl contenders this year with this young QB under the helm.
The next QB prospect is Justin Fields of Ohio State, who was taken by the Chicago bears with the No. 11 overall pick. Fields, along with Wilson and Lawrence, has a very high ceiling but there are some concerns that caused him to fall. Those concerns include his ability to move beyond his first read and his passing touch in the short passing game.
The final QB prospect, Mac Jones out of Alabama, was drafted by the New England Patriots with the No. 15 overall pick. Mac Jones only played one full season as a starter in college but took advantage of the opportunity to have an exceptional season. It was one of the best you could have as a QB. This year's class has a chance to go down as one of the best in the history of the NFL, and I believe it will live up to its expectations.
