From the Principal...
St Brigid’s Catholic School is a welcoming, vibrant and intimate setting. Our school is characterised by its unwavering commitment to the pastoral care of students. We know our people.
The atmosphere of our school is inspired by the Gospel values of love, compassion, hope, service and hospitality. Our school has a strong culture that promotes bringing life to every member of the community. At St Brigid’s, our culture is upheld to ensure every person is supported to flourish and thrive. We are known as "heart people".
We acknowledge parents as their child’s first educator and foster strong partnerships between the school and home. Our home/school relationships are based upon ongoing communication, openness and trust. We endeavour to take every opportunity to celebrate success and when challenged we approach each scenario with a positive and constructive mindset.
Our learning and teaching programs provide a broad range of educational experiences which enable children to develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially. Our curriculum aims to instil a life-long love of learning that inspires students to live out their faith through active and courageous citizenship drawing on their individual and collective character and competences to create solutions for preferred futures for all.
We share a collective responsibility, commitment and passion to ensure high levels of learning for all students. This includes everyone; teachers, leadership, administration and support staff at St Brigid’s. Our staff have a deep-seated belief in the potential of each child. We acknowledge that success comes in many forms. The increased confidence of a child. Improvements in a child’s ability to sustain friendships. When a child is able to recognise their emotions. The learning of letters and their sounds. The “ah-ha” moment when solving a problem in mathematics. These moments of success are examples of ways in which we can measure our impact on student learning.
Our students are focussed on learning, being respectful, safe, resilient, caring for others and having fun! Our teachers are student-focussed, cohesive, collaborative and professional. Our leaders are energetic, understanding and innovative.
Inspired by faith, we pursue excellence and a brilliant future for every member of our community.
