Cathederal Carmel Athletic Booster Club

The Cathedral-Carmel Athletic Booster Club (CCABC) consists of a group of parents, staff, and other interested parties whose mission is to promote and support Cathedral-Carmel School inter-scholastic athletic programs in a safe and Christ-centered environment by providing financial support on an ongoing basis.

Become a Memeber

CCABC was established as a support organization to encourage parent participation and to raise funds to foster safe and successful athletic programs that are available to each student at Cathedral-Carmel School. In addition to financial support, CCABC recognizes that participation in athletics benefits everyone, and CCABC promotes opportunities to build and strengthen relationships among all involved: the student body, Cathedral-Carmel School staff, parents, and the community.

Funding will be provided by two (2) major sources:

  • Annual membership donations

  • Annual fundraiser – Crawfishboil

Other various fundraising opportunities are provided by:

  • Bi-annual football game – CCS Tigers vs. Fatima Warriors (home game/host in even years)

  • Football jamboree/tournament (5th/6th host game)

  • Annual basketball tournament (7th/8th grade boys & girls)

What we are NOT:

  • We are not a service organization. You will not be asked to volunteer your time as part of your membership in CCABC with the exception of parents of athletes, who will be asked to volunteer.

  • Membership in CCABC is neither a means to provide your child a guaranteed spot on a CCS team nor give preferential treatment on any CCS team.

Facts about CCS athletic program:

  • Tuition money is NOT allocated to athletics.

  • Historically, CCS athletic programs have been funded 100% from athletic assessments for participating students for each sport.

  • Uniforms and equipment were outdated. Prior to CCABC inception, new uniforms and equipment had not been purchased in 6 years. New safety requirements are likely to be implemented in the near term.

  • Competing schools have long established successful athletic funding programs which vary from athletic membership to school-wide tuition/athletic allocations.

  • 88% of students in grades 5th– 8th participate in at least one sport at CCS.

  • 100% of students in grades PK – 8th participate in PE, which directly benefits from the athletic program.

  • All membership fees and donations to the CCABC are 100% tax deductible. If you have any questions concerning the CCABC, contact this year’s president, Kris Cox, at
