OVERVIEW

Our music program teaches a standards-based curriculum utilizing songs, folk dances, movement, chants/speaking, technology, and a variety of instruments including percussion, guitars, and recorders. Students are given the opportunity to explore music literacy, collaboration, composition, and performance.

About Me:

Hello Everyone! My name is Joyce Yang and I have been teaching at Mountain View since 2015. I received my Bachelors of Science in Education and Bachelors of Arts in Music from Western Carolina University. The flute is my primary instrument. I also play guitar and piano as well as sing for my home church.

I am very blessed to be a part of the wonderful Mountain View community. I look forward to instilling my love of music and the arts into all of the talented students at our school!
