Important Dates, Fall/Spring 2025-2026

Spring 2026 Curriculum Night March 31 5:00-6:30 pm

Current 6th graders/Rising 7th graders- Sign up for an instrument to play in person at Curriculum Night!  Come down to the band room and write your name beside the instrument you want to play- it's as easy as that! If you want to play drums/percussion: you MUST audition for a spot on this night. Come in to the band room anytime for a brief try out. We have 8 spots available for next year. Auditions/try outs will be a stress free, no prior knowledge needed experience

Required of ALL band students: Winter Band Concert: Monday, December 8 at 6:00 pm at Lenoir Rhyne University PE Monroe Auditorium.

Required of ALL band students: Spring Band Concert: Monday, May 4  at 6:00 pm at HMA Gym

8th grade band students: 2025-2026

Friday, Oct. 3. SSHS Football Game (Band plays in the stands during the first half, then watches the SSHS Marching Band half time show. At the end of the show, students are free to leave or stay).  

Monday, Oct. 27: Optional, but highly encouraged - All County Band Auditions

Friday/Saturday November 14-15: All County Band Clinic (only for those that audition and are selected for All County Band)
