Accounting Career Awareness Program
Trademark program held every year by the National Association of Black Accountants
Students will learn from business professionals about professional development, accounting, finance and financial literacy
Students will have the opportunity to talk to admission counselors from Charlotte about college and what to look for when applying for school
Student will participate in a case competition
This year the program will be virtual (usually a residency program on a college campus)

AI Scholars 2024
AI Scholars Live Online is a 10 session (25-hour) artificial intelligence bootcamp that exposes high school students to fundamental AI concepts and guides them to build a socially impactful project. Taught by our team of graduate students from Stanford, MIT, and more, students receive a personalized learning experience in small groups with a student-teacher ratio of 5:1.

AMDA High School Summer Conservatory
The AMDA High School Conservatory is an immersive program that provides extraordinary performing arts training for passionate artists. This program offers cutting-edge learning opportunities that are uniquely personal and specifically designed for today’s emerging performing artists. The High School now offers 3 different programs that all offer pre-college training from our world-class faculty, performing arts centered cultural activities, an opportunity to audition for the college and alternative High School Conservatory programs & culminates in an original final presentation to share with your family and friends.

Appalachian Entrepreneurship Academy
In partnership with Appalachian State University, EntreEd, and STEM West, ARC’s Appalachian Entrepreneurship Academy (AEA) prepares the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and thinkers. Chosen via a competitive application process, 26 high school students from across the Appalachian Region participate in experiential learning designed to cultivate creativity and develop essential entrepreneurial skills. While learning, students concurrently develop and implement their own business ideas, refine and prototype those ideas, and eventually deliver a shark-tank-style pitch presentation for an audience of entrepreneurs.
AEA students will spend two weeks, at no cost, residing on Appalachian State University’s campus and immersing themselves in the surrounding town of Boone, North Carolina.

Appalachian STEM Academy
Established in 1990, the Appalachian STEM Academy at Oak Ridge is a residential, hands-on learning experience for Appalachia’s middle and high school students, as well as high school teachers in STEM-related fields. Hosted by Oak Ridge Associated Universities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, this program is a gateway to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in the Appalachian Region. Many participants come from economically distressed counties and often gain their first exposure to applied science and STEM education through this experience.
All participants work with award-winning scientists at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, one of the largest U.S. Department of Energy research facilities in the United States. High school and middle school students conduct guided group science, math, and computer science technology research projects, while high school teachers work with science practitioners to develop STEM-related curriculum.

Applied STEM Foundations Summer Institution - East Tennessee State University
Applied STEM foundation is a 3-week experiential program that covers, computing, digital media, engineering, and other STEM concepts. The program is for high school students interested in a STEM major. Each week students will be given the opportunity to explore areas and careers in STEM through the use of classroom lectures, hands-on experiences various, field trips, and speaker presentations.
Applied STEM Foundations aims to deepen the understanding of STEM by utilizing practical applications and classroom presentations to increase awareness and participation within the field. The program aims to help students explore issues common to STEM with a focus on project-based time management, logic and condition statements, terminology used in STEM, engineering concepts, digital design and development, and career exploration. The program places emphasis on exposure to technological concepts, idea development, and skills that support success within a STEM major using an experiential model.

ASPIRE
ASPIRE (ACT Supplemental Preparation In Rural Education) is an initiative designed to bridge deficits in rural high school students' performance on the ACT College Entrance Examination in order to increase the number of students gaining admissions to institutions offering degrees in agricultural fields. The ASPIRE program also aims to increase admissions rates of students from rural, economically distressed counties into institutions of higher education. ASPIRE includes 30 hours of ACT course instruction, along with helpful ACT prep materials and access to four (4) full-length practice ACT exams.

Black College Institute - Virginia Tech
The Black College Institute is an academic summer enrichment program by Virginia Tech. It hosts talented, high-achieving and academically curious rising high school juniors and seniors. For 2023, all three sessions will be held in-person over a 4-day period for rising juniors and 5-day period for rising seniors
While this program is designed to attract underrepresented and/or first-generation students, we welcome the participation of any student who has a potential interest in Virginia Tech. Our program activities are planned using a multicultural perspective though we place special emphasis on the African-American identity.

Brown Pre-College offers groupings of courses or Programs that focus on an area of study. While all accepted students are able to enroll in courses across any program that we offer it is beneficial to determine the program that best suits your needs when you begin your enrollment process. Programs may have different schedules, locations or anticipated outcomes. Selecting a program is a helpful first step in identifying the course you choose to enroll in. Please note that some programs have specific grade, age and language proficiency eligibility requirements. Broyhill Leadership Conference 2023 at Gardner-Webb University
The Broyhill Leadership Conference is open to rising 10th-12th graders and current year high school graduates. Delegates must be at least 15 years old by June 1.

Clemson’s Challenge for Academically Talented Students (C-CATS) recruits top students from SC, NC and GA to participate in high-powered weekend retreats. Through team-building and academic sessions, students gain leadership skills, make lasting friendships, and improve their ability to think clearly and perform under pressure, all while having the time of their lives!

Is your rising 7th to 12th grade child (up to the age of 17) exploring different college majors? Give them a sneak peek at what college life is all about, and different subjects they can explore, through a Summer Scholars course this summer!
Every summer, the Summer Scholars program at Clemson University welcomes hundreds of campers who enjoy a one-week introduction to a variety of university learning options, while being immersed in our campus culture, either virtually or in-person.
Students will engage in hands-on, immersive courses in their field of choice taught by Clemson instructors during the day. Afternoons include free time which can be spent exploring campus, attending a campus tour, or meeting a representative from Admissions or Clemson University Honors College. Evenings feature many of the recreational activities Clemson students enjoy, including bowling at The Underground, swimming at Fike Recreation Center, and a cookout on the beach at beautiful Lake Hartwell.

Students who learn differently often find themselves navigating their college experience without a map — and feeling alone.
It leaves students feeling overwhelmed, unable to keep up with assignments, and disconnected from professors and classmates. And too many students ultimately drop out of college, dissatisfied with their college experience and their confidence shaken.
The College Edge provides students a supportive environment to experience the rigorous demands of college — with coaching and workshops designed to build their college readiness skills.

Conservation Corps North Carolina Youth Weekend Program
Conservation Corps North Carolina (CCNC) is hosting a weekend program filled with conservation work and camping! This opportunity is open to youth ages 15-18 and will be working with Foothills Conservancy September 24-25th. This is a Duke Energy Foundation sponsored program to introduce teens to parks and how they can help steward them.
Youth will volunteer Saturday through Sunday and camp at Lake James Saturday night. CCNC will provide all camping gear and food needed for the overnight experience. Any students interested can apply HERE.
Cooperative Leadership Camp
The Cooperative Council of NC is accepting applications for their Cooperative Leadership Camp - a week-long summer camp for high school students ready to discover how they can make a difference in the world through cooperative business. Cornerstone Summer Institute - University of Virginia
The Cornerstone Summer Institute provides rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to engage in historical investigation, archaeological excavation, and community engagement in order to learn and develop thinking skills that will prepare them for success in college and beyond.
Designed by members of the University of Virginia President’s Commission on Slavery and the University, the institute encourages critical thinking while students learn about both the University’s past and the modern-day legacies of slavery. Students explore the early history of the University by getting hands-on experience with archival records, by rolling up their sleeves on an archaeological dig where enslaved people lived and worked, and by learning–through community engagement–how the U.Va. story had an impact on the surrounding area.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from during the spring until the camp is full. The deadline for applying is April 1 each year.

CSI Camp at Waynesburg University
This CSI Camp is designed to give students hands-on experience of what they can expect in the forensic science and criminal justice majors and, ultimately, occupations. Camp will enable students to enhance their knowledge and understanding of forensic topics and allow them to make valuable connections with professionals and fellow peers in the field. Students will have the opportunity to train with and learn from certified experts in a small group setting. Students entering 11th grade, 12th grade, or who are spring 2024 high school graduates are eligible to attend CSI Camp.
CSI Camp will be held from June 10-14, 2024.

Emerging Journalists Program at Elon
Elon is excited to officially announce that they're set to offer the third year of the Emerging Journalists Program at Elon University, which offers the ideal opportunity for high school students to explore what it means to be a journalist, to report and to produce news that informs communities. This is a FREE opportunity!
Applications are now open, and the first of four monthly virtual interactive learning sessions are scheduled for January. Students may apply for virtual sessions only or for both the virtual component and the on-campus summer experience, scheduled for June 17-28, 2024, at Elon. This on-campus residential learning workshop is open to students from diverse socio-economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds. And, again, it’s completely free. EJP pays for students’ travel, lodging, meals and instructional materials.
Last year’s summer cohort produced a newspaper, a 45-minute newscast and a website. Here’s a snapshot of what our students did while on campus with us.

Future Doctors Program by Harvard Student Agencies at Harvard University
Future Doctors Program seeks to introduce students to the fundamentals of pre-medical studies. The program covers various topics including content modules on genetic inheritance, hormones, immunology, and organic chemistry. It also explores case studies on various diseases, poses medical ethics questions, and offers an opportunity to dissect scientific papers. The program aims to prepare students for a career in medicine by providing an overview of the MCAT process, as well as the chance to hear first-hand about the process from Harvard students.
Providing an extensive overview of pre-med, the program encourages students to think critically and quickly. Each day begins with an in-depth lecture covering an important aspect of the medical field ranging from genetics to organic chemistry. Students then engage in hands-on activities created to orient them to the realities of working in medicine. The program guides students through topics and higher order thinking skills necessary to succeed in the medical field.
The certificate will be given directly by Harvard Student Agencies.

Future Lawyers Program by Harvard Student Agencies at Harvard University
The unique pre-professional program, spread over 9 days (2 weekends), focuses on helping students learn how to read and build a case, how to write position papers, how to navigate the path to law school, and much more. Students will also be guided towards the LSAT, the difficult-to-navigate requirements of the application to Law School, and the many careers in the world of law.
Each day begins with a lecture outlining a skill or concept critical to a career in law, whether it be the inner workings of the court system or how to prepare for the LSAT. From there, students get to build teamwork skills and collaborative thinking by engaging with one another. Guided by qualified Harvard undergraduate instructors, the curriculum aims to provide a comprehensive look at legal systems and give students the chance to meaningfully explore the field. The program enables students to explore law and litigation, experience a mock trial, gain awareness of history and the current events that contextualize law in society today, and walk away with excitement for their future in law.
The certificate will be given directly by Harvard Student Agencies.

Governor's School of North Carolina
The Governor's School of North Carolina is a multi-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on each of two campuses. The curriculum focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Students are selected to attend through a competitive process after being nominated by their public school unit or non-public school.

The Honors Experience at Gardner-Webb University
The Honors Experience at Gardner-Webb is a one-week college immersion for academically gifted and talented students who are currently in the 9th-11th grade. The program is held on Gardner-Webb’s main campus in Boiling Springs, NC each summer.
As a high school student who has already demonstrated excellence in the classroom and community, you will be provided with the opportunity to develop your skills in a hands on setting, under the instruction of our exceptional faculty and staff. The LEDA application is open! LEDA is looking for highly motivated high school juniors with strong academic records and a desire to develop their leadership abilities to join the 20th Cohort of LEDA Scholars.

This is an immersive experience designed for students seeking to be familiarized with the interdisciplinary topics of biology and chemistry that are not typically introduced until the college level.

North Carolina School of Science & Math (NCSSM) Summer Accelerator Program
Accelerator for 7th-9th graders is offered online and in-person at NCSSM in Durham, NC and Morganton, NC. When you apply, you have the opportunity to choose your first and second choice courses. You will have the chance to choose one course for each week should you wish to apply for more than one course over the summer.
Accelerator courses for 10th - 12th graders are conducted over three weeks. The first two weeks of each course take place virtually, at the student's own pace. The third week of each course takes place on campus (either in Durham or Morganton, NC) or online.

Project Uplift & Uplift Plus - UNC Chapel Hill
Project Uplift is a summer enrichment and college access program designed to promote and increase access to higher education for rising high school seniors, especially those underrepresented in postsecondary education. Every year, during May and June, approximately 1,000 high school seniors participate in one of four separate Project Uplift sessions. Traditionally, this is a two-day experience, Project Uplift participants live on Carolina’s campus, interacting with faculty, staff, and current students, participating in educational, cultural, and social activities. Project Uplift Scholars have the opportunity to immerse themselves in college life and experience the academic rigor and social climate of a four-year institution.

The core curriculum of this six-day summer program is based on General Shelton’s five values related to leadership: honesty, integrity, diversity, social responsibility and compassion. SATELLITE Camp - NC State University
SATELLITE is a five-day STEM outreach and leadership development program with the goal of exposing high school sophomores from under-resourced communities in North Carolina to post-secondary educational opportunities in STEM and its many disciplines. SATELLITE Campers have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including a field trip to the Museum of Natural Sciences, an egg drop competition, plant biology seminars, workshops in paper science engineering, textiles and design, game theory, and hands-on life sciences demonstrations led by genuine NC State faculty and students. SATELLITE’s mission is fueled by our desire and passion to help close the higher educational divide among communities through equitable opportunities and exposure.
The 2024 program will run from May 18th - 22nd. The application encourages two letters of recommendation ( however are not required ) and a few short essays pertaining to the student’s interest in the field of STEM and college exposure. Due to the nature of the program, they do not consider a student’s academic success when reviewing applications, they are looking only for a student’s desire to maximize their experience at SATELLITE and hone their curiosity. The deadline to apply is March 8th, 2024. If accepted, there will be a $25 registration fee, but a number of need-based scholarships and financial assistance opportunities are available upon request.

The Shelton Challenge at NCWU
The Shelton Challenge is a six-day residential leadership experience to help students expand their knowledge and skills of what it takes to be an effective leader. Offered to rising 9th-grade to graduating seniors (graduating seniors included) with a 3.0+ unweighted GPA, hands-on activities focus on: personal leadership assessment and interpersonal dynamics, the role of values and ethics in leadership, leadership traits and approaches, empowering others, civic and social responsibility and goal setting.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in team-building activities, low and high ropes courses, service projects, and fun night activities to help students get to know others participating in the program.
The cost to attend the Shelton Challenge six-day residential program is $500. This cost includes all curriculum materials, lodging and food, low and high ropes training, transportation during the week, and night activities. With submitting the application, please mail a $100 deposit to hold space in the program. The deposit will go toward the final payment of $500. Please make all checks or money orders payable to the Shelton Challenge at N.C. Wesleyan University. Financial aid scholarships are available to applicants.
NC Wesleyan University will offer a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to students who complete the Shelton Challenge and enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at North Carolina Wesleyan University. The scholarship is renewable for each academic year (fall/spring) if the student maintains an overall GPA of at least a 2.70 (and is enrolled as a full-time student) for a maximum of four academic years.

Summer for Success - Beacon College
At Beacon College, we believe that education should be life-changing — and summer learning is no exception! Our summer programs are about self-discovery, skills development and confidence building. We promise students a great time as they learn to become better learners while forging new friendships with fellow students from across the country. Most importantly, all of our summer program students get to experience what it’s like to live — and learn — on a college campus.
Our summer program helps college-bound high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors who learn differently build the skills, confidence and preparation they need to successfully transition from high school. Students better understand their learning differences, recognize early stumbling blocks and know what they need to succeed in their first year of college.

Summer Textile Exploration Program - NC State
The Wilson College of Textiles Summer Textile Exploration Program (STEP) consists of five one-week sessions for rising high school seniors interested in learning about the textile industry, fashion, engineering, polymer science and business marketing. Up to 35 students per week are chosen based on their academic success, interest in NC State Wilson College of Textiles, and extracurricular activities.
Students participate in sessions learning about the five degree programs offered in the Wilson College of Textiles, applying to NC State University, Centennial Scholarships, future internship and job opportunities, and learning about the industry from partners and alumni. Each student has the opportunity to choose their top project interest and will spend parts of the morning afternoon working on project pertaining to one of the following that has been completed in the past.

Summer Ventures - NC School of Science & Math
Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics is a no-cost, state-funded program for academically talented North Carolina students who aspire to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. If hands-on, independent learning is appealing to you, and you are excited about the idea of conducting research to answer questions that intrigue you, this is the program for you!
In Summer Ventures, you will live on a college campus for four weeks in the summer and conduct research around topics of your interest — while enjoying the company of like-minded peers. You will have the opportunity to engage in research with faculty and get hands-on experience at a university.
This program is open to North Carolina students in their second or third year of high school. Applications open October 15 and close January 18. Spend four weeks of your summer with fellow students from across the state as you take part in a unique, hands-on summer experience.

SUmmerFab - Wentworth Institute of Technology
Interested in learning about Architecture, Construction, and Engineering and applying your newfound skills to build something for your community? Join SummerFAB.
SummerFAB, a four-week, nonresidential summer program, in its fourth year, exposes high school youth to the built environment through interdisciplinary, project-based learning practices, a cornerstone to a Wentworth education. Participants collaborate with Wentworth faculty and current architecture students to research, design, fabricate, and construct a full-scale, community-driven solution to local neighborhood challenges. Additionally, participants are provided the opportunity to develop a holistic network of youth interested in design, faculty who teach design, academic and social emotional support staff, and architects and designers across the Boston area.

Summer Writing Institute at Rhodes College
The Summer Writing Institute at Rhodes College takes place annually for two weeks during June and is a residential academic program committed to developing the critical thinking and writing skills of high school students. Within the college′s liberal arts environment, students sharpen their reading and analytical skills and learn strategies for writing creatively and critically. At the end of the session, students receive a grade for their work and class participation, earn two college credits (transferable to most colleges and universities), and will complete a portfolio of college-level writing.

Syracuse University Summer College
For more than 60 years, Syracuse University has been providing rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with the opportunity to explore potential majors and careers in its renowned pre-college programs.
In Summer College, high school students can choose from over 100 college-level courses offered on campus, online or in a hybrid format. As a Summer College student, you will:

Earn a Certificate of Completion and a Syracuse University credit or noncredit transcript

Rising seniors from across the state spend a week creating city government, political parties, and a state government. They elect officials, write and debate bills, create working governments and attend various workshops to prepare them for their senior year and college.

Technovation for Good - Appalachian State University

Admission is intended for current high school juniors (rising seniors during the time of program) who have a genuine interest in pursuing a technology-related career field or wish to explore entrepreneurship or sustainability options. Potential candidates should display their competitive attributes through academic achievements, leadership potential, and community activities. Tech4good admissions committee will assist in the selection of candidates that show potential aligning with the goals of the program. The inaugural program is limited to 20 students. Limited need-based partial or full scholarships are available specifically for students from the following counties: Avery, Caldwell, Catawba, Forsyth, Watauga, and Wilkes.

Technovation for Good - UNCG
JUNE 22, 2024 – JULY 02, 2024
Technovation for Good, made possible by Alex Lee, Inc. is a day and residential program for rising high school sophomores – seniors. The program will be administered by the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management department in the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. It will provide the participants with hands-on, practical experience with Programming, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Mobile Application Development, Sustainability, Analytics and/or the Internet of Things. In addition, this program offers students an opportunity to learn entrepreneurial and leadership skill sets, hear from local professionals, meet other students with similar career interests, and attend workshops to enhance IT and business skills in a college setting.
The goal of this program is to provide an environment that promotes inclusiveness and educational equity. We encourage applications from diverse groups of students who will have equity in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education and opportunities. Thanks to our sponsor, need-based scholarships will be provided to ensure that students with financial need can participate in the program.

UA Early College is designed to help current high school students become quality college students. In addition to the financial benefits of the partial tuition scholarship, students may receive other benefits by participating in the program and utilizing the academic support offered.
You can apply to UA Early College anytime during your sophomore, junior or senior year of high school if you have a 3.0 or higher GPA,* cumulative from the 9th grade. (*High school grade point average must be at least 3.0 on a 4 point scale, or the equivalent, cumulative from the 9th grade.)

UNC Asheville Summer Pre-College Programs
Registration is now open for Summer 2024 Pre-College Programs at UNC Asheville! Limited space is available, and early registration is encouraged.
Each Pre-College Program will run from Sunday to Friday, with topics spanning the arts and sciences. Participants will live on-campus to fully experience university life and the surrounding Asheville community. The program cost, which starts at $1,430, includes lodging, meals, course materials, activities and excursions.

Join us for a transformative experience at UNCG CHANCE—a unique opportunity designed exclusively for Latino/Hispanic rising senior high school students. University of Dayton Summer Camps
The University of Dayton hosts a variety of camps that emphasize hands-on, immersive experience, mentoring from faculty experts, and making connections with friends (and hopefully other Future Flyers).
Summer Engineering Experiences at UD (SEE-UD)
SEE-UD camps offered by our School of Engineering provide students with an opportunity to explore the diverse fields of engineering through collaborative and interactive faculty-led sessions. This four-day, three-night camp will introduce students to career opportunities in engineering and engineering technology, and offer a clear picture of what it’s like to be an engineer. Students will also experience living on a college campus and learn about the college admission process.

Female Aspiring Business Scholars (FABS) Summer Program
FABS is an overnight summer camp program offered by UD’s School of Business Administration that provides young women a weeklong (June 25-30) introduction to business and the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge to research, design and pitch a business plan. They’ll also have a chance to network with faculty, staff and community business professionals while earning three hours of college credit.
The cost for the FABS Summer Program is $500, with an early bird rate of $450 through March 31. A nonrefundable $100 deposit is due at registration. Our registration deadline is May 15. USNA Summer Stem
Are you thinking of a career as a coder, game developer, designer, or robotics engineer? Then start with the experience of a world-class program like the Naval Academy's Summer STEM Program!

VetCamp - University of Georgia, Athens
VetCAMP (Veterinary Career Aptitude and Mentoring Program) is a week-long, on-campus summer program for high school students. At VetCAMP, students experience veterinary medicine – and will be involved in activities aimed at evaluating their skills and competitiveness as future veterinarians. The week is filled with visits and hand-on learning at our veterinary teaching hospital, diagnostic labs, and the Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center — and highlighted by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Georgia Aquarium. In addition, VetCampers learn about what vet school is all about – from admissions to classes to study abroad opportunities, to the wide variety of career paths veterinary medicine has to offer!

VIRTUAL COSMETIC SCIENCE AND FORMULATION DESIGN SUMMER CAMP at The University of Toledo
The camp will take place 100% online from June 21 – June 23, 2023. Cost is $100 for all 3 days but, scholarships are available. Waynesburg University - Sports Announcing & Sports Journalism Camp & Mock Crime Scene Workshop
At the Sports Announcing & Sports Journalism Camp, students will learn the basics of play-by-play, reporting, interviewing, and more while exploring a potential career in sports announcing or sports journalism. The cost of the camp is $500 and registration is currently open with limited spots. More information can be found here. This camp will run from June 10-14.
At the Mock Crime Scene Workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn from crime scene professionals and field experts how to investigate a crime scene, properly collect and document evidence, and interview witnesses. No experience is needed to attend this event, and it is open to current high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors. The day is of no cost to students, and lunch will be provided. This workshop will be help in March 16th.

Waynesburg University STEAM Academy
Our STEAM Academy is designed to promote learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics and is open to high school students of all ages. The great thing about the Academy is that all learning will be facilitated through hands-on activities designed to engage students' minds and to keep them active throughout its duration. The Academy will take place from June 17, 2024, to June 21, 2024. Registration deadline is May 13th.

West POint - Summer Leaders Experience
At West Point we develop Leaders of Character, and we are looking for high-achieving young people who are in great standing with their school and community, and who want to challenge themselves.
What is SLE?
SLE is a one-week program for current Juniors (High School Class of 2025) to visit West Point in June.
Students in this program get to spend the week with our cadets, live in the barracks, and eat in the mess hall.
Learn about West Point’s world class academics by trying 5 of our 17 academic workshops.
Learn about military training and becoming a Leader of Character at West Point by completing two military days to include rappelling, Zodiac boats, combatives (like Jiu-Jitsu) training and more!
Challenge themselves physically by attempting the Candidate Fitness Assessment, conducting physical training, and sports.
Complete their admissions interview with a cadet.
Spend the week making friends with other students from all over the US who are applying to West Point.
All the students that I have spoken with have really enjoyed this program and they especially enjoy interacting with the cadets. The priority application deadline for SLE is the following Friday on March 15th and they will accept applications until April 15th. SLE is competitive and not all who apply are offered to attend.

Yale Summer Program in Astrophysics (YSPA)
YSPA is a 2-week online + 4-week residential research and enrichment program for 32 rising high school seniors who are interested in astronomy, physics, math, computer programming, and other science and tech fields.
YSPA has a small student-to-faculty ratio (32:5), so students get to know each other and the faculty very well. It’s a summer experience like no other.
YSPA 2023 will start with the online program, June 26 - July 7. The on-campus, residential program will be held from July 9 through August 6, 2023.

Young Writers' Camp - UNC Greensboro
Campers at the UNCG Young Writers’ Camp create 21st century texts using digital tools such as storyboarding, blogging, and movie-making during this two week camp experience. In daily writing workshops, campers work with UNCG faculty, graduate students, NC teachers, and local authors. The camp introduces young writers to the writing process, unlocks strategies of professional writers, and supports development of variety of writing styles. All work is published on the UNC Greensboro website.
