Last Names A-G - Christel Murray

Mrs. Murray attended Appalachian State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Health Education with a teacher licensure and her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. She has been a school counselor since August 1999.

Mrs. Murray is married and has two boys: one newly married and the other attending LRU this fall. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs. She also enjoys reading, traveling from the mountains to the beach, scrapbooking, and is looking forward to cheering on the Tigers.

Last Names H-P - Brooke Ward

Mrs. Ward attended North Carolina State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and graduate degree in School Counseling. She has previously taught 5th grade at Lynn Road Elementary in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Ward has been a counselor at Fred T. Foard since 2014.

Mrs. Ward loves spending time with her family and two children, playing with her dogs, shopping, reading, and cheering on the NCSU Wolfpack and Carolina Panthers at sporting events.

Last Names Q-Z - Cassie Miller

Mrs. Miller is beginning her 14th year as a School Counselor and her 4th year as a Fred T. Foard Tiger! She is originally from Chattanooga, TN and moved to Hickory in 2013 after getting married (to a Foard alum!) & finishing grad school at ETSU. Go Bucs!

Mrs. Miller is a total “boy mom” to Beau and Brooks, her built in best friends. As a family, they love to go adventuring to the mountains and beaches in Mexico. They can usually be found at any live sporting event - Hickory FC soccer, Carolina Panthers football games, and the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes hockey games!

In her free time not watching or driving kids to sports, she likes to read, do crafts, and spend time in the sunshine.
