Arriving Late or leaving early
Arriving Late to School
Please do your best to ensure tamariki arrive at school on time (between 8.30am and 8.50am). If they do arrive late, they must check in at the school office before going to class.
Leaving Early
Every minute of school time is valuable so please try to avoid pulling tamariki out of school early. If it is unavoidable, they do however need to leave early, they must be signed out through the office.

Entry Points to School
Bikes & Scooters
Please use the Carson Street Gate. Bikes and scooters can be parked in the bike shed.
Staff Carpark
Our staff car park is a one way system only. Please enter using the driveway closest to main Carpark side gate and exit via the driveway at the other end. This is an extremely busy area in the mornings.
Fruit in School Programme - 5+ A Day
Fruit and Vegetables are delivered to school twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays). This service usually begins in week 2 of each term. In the meantime, please send a piece of fruit to school with your tamariki.
Lunch in School Programme - Ka Ora, Ka Ako
All tamariki are provided with a free lunch each day from our contracted supplier Pita Pit starting Wednesday 1st February. Please supply a lunch box and drink bottle (water only). An ice-cream container is the perfect size and shape. Lunchboxes are needed for each student to store their daily kai. The menu for the following week will be sent home in the school newsletter. Remember to name your child's lunch box and drink bottle.

Swimming
Water Skills for Life is a compulsory part of learning here at Castlecliff School, just like reading, writing and maths. We are a coastal school and we place a high emphasis on ensuring our tamariki are confident and capable in the water. We are very fortunate to have our own swimming pool.
Swimming is timetabled 3 to 4 times per week in Terms 1 and 4. Students must have their own togs and a towel. Hair needs to be tied back / plaited. A swimming cap is a good idea. Googles are not necessary as students must learn to be able to cope with opening their eyes under water. A reminder to name all togs and towels.
