A moment of peer education when Roberta and Giorgio tried to teach Italian hand gestures to their foreign friends.
The students of the Liceo Cassini of Sanremo met their Lithuanian and Polish colleagues for a rich ERASMUS program aiming at the enhancement and knowledge of their respective local heritages. Students broke the ice with ease and there were many opportunities for fun.
The project is called S.H.A.R.E. (Share Heritage And Realize Europe) and it is under the Erasmus patronage to promote the mobility of European students abroad and encourage exchanges between schools.
The opinion of the foreign teachers involved in the project is very positive: "This project is an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better", says the Lithuanian headmaster of "Santarves Gimnazyia", Ingrida Kuoliene, followed by the words of the teacher Dovile Arkileviciute: "There is really liked the mild climate here in Sanremo, because in Lithuania it is very cold now. The boys loved the coast, which is very beautiful. "
"Travelling broadens the mind, so it's really nice to be here," says Polish professor "Zespol Szkol", Ireneusz Kosno: "Learning a new culture, your history, architecture, certainly people, and language, yes, we are trying to learn a little Italian here, so it's great ”.
The program went on from Monday to Friday, with guided tours and outdoor activities organized by the Italian students who guided their new foreign friends.
