This procedure pertains to all Casper College employees, including temporary and student employees, who become involved in on-the-job accidents or witness an injury.
Employees of Casper College involved in or witnesses of incidents resulting in personal injury are required to report the accident to the Community Education and Lifelong Learning department within 24 hours. In the event the accident includes exposure to bloodborne pathogens, the procedure entitled “Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Plan” (see link below) should be consulted.
Forms:
Accident/Incident Reporting Form is used when treatment is First Aid only
Injury Report is used when an injury requires more than First Aid
Accident/Incident Witness Statement
All forms are available in the Community Education and Lifelong Learning office and from the Human Resources department.
Accidents resulting in damage to college property are required to complete the Casper College Accident Report Form as soon as possible.
First Aid Treatment
Those individuals educated on the use of First Aid procedures are encouraged to administer treatment. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact Campus Security immediately. First Aid kits are available in most classrooms, college vehicles, and at the Community Education and Lifelong Learning office.
Surveillance Systems
The college uses surveillance systems to enhance the safety and security of persons and property in or on college facilities. This policy does not imply or guarantee the continual monitoring of surveillance systems in real time.
The college does not install or use dummy surveillance systems.
The college may use surveillance content to investigate an alleged violation of college policy or an illegal act and to support disciplinary hearings.
Surveillance content is controlled. Access is granted under limited circumstances.
Personal areas, locations where a reasonable person would expect privacy such as residence hall living quarters or apartment units, public restrooms, locker rooms, medical treatment or counseling areas, or personal offices are exempt.
