Since 2009, CASE has worked to serve the needs of agriculture and Career and Technical Education teachers.

Resources for Getting Started with CASE

What does it mean to be CASE certified?

Teachers use our curriculum after attending professional development events during which they play the role of both teacher and student in order to be best prepared to facilitate the curriculum in their own classrooms. Teachers who complete all requirements during the professional development as signed off on by CASE Lead Teachers are then considered certified and retain the curriculum forever.

Can I purchase the curriculum without going through professional development?

While we do provide curriculum as a product of our professional development, the training itself is what CASE prides itself on delivering to teachers. Because of the inquiry-based nature of the materials, training is required to make the most of it. We do not provide curriculum by itself.

What courses are available through CASE?

We currently have 13 courses available. Learn more about each course.

What is the general timeline for becoming CASE certified?

Each fall we publish our professional development schedule for the following summer’s Institutes. Registration opens on January 5 and is closed once filled or by April 15. BriefCASE events occur year-round; check the current BriefCASE schedule for an event near you.

Are there any pre-requisites to attending CASE professional development?

CASE Foundations is required for new CASE teachers. This is a free, virtual, self-paced course you can access 24/7.

Are CASE courses aligned to standards?

Yes, all CASE courses are standards aligned. Learn more.

Does CASE offer End-of-Course assessments (EoCs)?

Yes. The end-of-course (EoC) assessments were developed by CASE to align with CASE concepts and National AFNR Common Career Technical Core Standards. The assessments are available through NOCTI, serving as the CASE partner for third-party delivery.  EoC assessments serve as a measurement of student success that is nationwide, valid, and reliable, and comparable across the country. These end-of-course assessments meet Perkins V requirements. Learn more here.

Does CASE certification require renewal?

Once you become CASE certified in any course, you retain that certification forever. Regardless of who funded your certification, the curriculum follows you.
